About Changchun Changchun is a beautiful modern city, located to the northeast of Beijing,

in the heart of the Northeast China Plain. Founded in 1800, its urban population is now about 3 million. Lying in the temperate zone,

Changchun is neither too hot nor too cold with four distinct seasons and an annual average temperature of 5.2℃.

As a transportation hub of Northeast China, railways, expressways, and airlines dart out far and wide in all directions. Nonstop flights to Seoul, Sendai, Hong Kong, and other metropolitan areas are very convenient for visitors. A well developed local traffic system, including bus, trolley, and light-rail can take you to every corner of the city.

Jingyue Tan (Crystal Moon Pond) to the southeast of the city is known for its human-planted forest area, the largest in Asia and a national

resort with perfect ecological environment. The last emperor of the Qing Dynasty built his palace in Changchun, which is one of the three

imperial palaces still remaining in China. Changchun is also famous for its winter skiing resort.
